There are a few more opportunities to see the premiere of the new documentary "Big Cypress Swamp: The Western Everglades". I had the opportunity to tag along with producer/cinematographer, Elam Stolzfus, with Live Oak Production, for a day of shooting for the documentary and am excited to be able to see the finished film.
Daily screenings will take place every day until Sunday, September 27, 2009 at the soon to be completed Big Cypress Swamp Welcome Center at 33050 Tamiami Trail East, Ochopee, FL.
The center will be open to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This open house is being held to introduce the new hour long documentary, “Big Cypress Swamp, The Western Everglades”. During the open house a 25 min version of the film will be shown. Additionally, a thirty minute segment of the Ken Burns documentary, “The National Parks, America’s Best Idea” will be screened. The swamp film will show at 11:00 and 12:00 and the Ken Burns intro will show at 11:30 and 12:30 each day.
