5th Avenue South will be teaming with over 260 artists during their Downtown Naples New Year's Art Fair on Saturday and Sunday.  Held in the heart of Downtown Naples, the Downtown Naples New Year's Art Fair offers upscale shops and restaurants to enjoy before and after visiting the artists' booths. Admission: Free

Generous Spirit for the Naples Community

It takes a very generous spirit to willingly give so much time, effort and energy into making the lives of those a little less financially fortunate than many in Naples Florida.  I'm overwhelmed at the generosity that one of our Hilton Naples Hotel Team Member displays for the Naples Community, Naples Hilton Team & her family.

Our Executive Assistant Patricia Marsh deserves a great big heartfelt thank you for her tireless work in volunteering with the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program in Collier County. This year alone, the volunteers for this program put together 428 bicycles to be distributed to children in Naples and the surrounding areas. Over 1600 families were pre-registered to receive gifts from the Toys for Tots Programs and 69 additional families registered on Distribution Day.

Trish reported walking into the warehouse on Toy Distribution Day to find families already lined up on the sidewalks at 4am in the morning. Each registered child received a minimum of 3 gifts, along with stuffed animals, games and books. Any toys left over were distributed to other area charity organizations and churches in time for Christmas.

You only have to see the way she lights up when she sees her two year old granddaughter, Samantha, to know how important family & community truly are to this generous spirit!

7pm – Family Outdoor Movie Night featuring the classic White Christmas – bring a folding chair or a beach blanket, and come out to Cambier Park & enjoy a movie played on a 2 Story Inflatable screen.  Regina’s will be offering Hot Dogs, Pop Corn & Ice Cream Concessions.

6pm-8pm – Winter Solstice Celebration at Naples Botanical Garden. Celebrate the solar holiday & first day of winter, with an extraordinary night walk lit by hundreds of tiki lights & live music

Christmas in Naples is Getting Wild at the Naples Zoo

Beginning December 13th, the 12 days of Christmas countdown is on! Each day, the local residents of the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens will be receiving special gifts including a wildly-themed take on the lyrics of The Twelve Days of Christmas.

Bring the family to watch lions, leopards, and fosas claw into beautifully decorated presents filled with meat treats; alligators swallow a festive turkey leg dinner; apes nibble fruity treats; Red river hogs play with their icy snowman; and the new giraffe herd will munch into their leafy presents; and many other animals enjoy holiday-related delicacies with a wild twist.
