Country Jam Music & Rib Fest will be at the Collier County Fairgrounds beginning at 1pm. This event will have barbeque food from some of the best barbeque teams, family activities, and national recording artists. There will be two stages at this event with performers and there will always be music playing. This event is the largest festival in Naples and it benefits the not for profit activities that are chosen by the Collier County Fairgrounds. 

Also on January 30, there will be Run for the Paws which is a 5k walk/run that is hosted at the Naples Municipal Airport. The airport is located 7 miles from Hilton Naples. This is the only dog friendly 5k in the area! This event benefits the Humane Society Naples and it begins at 8am. You can sign up online or on-site from 7-7:45am and the $25 fee is going straight to the humane society.

Chalk Art 2016 at 5th Avenue South

Watch the streets of 5th Avenue South come to life with an array of colors this Saturday, January 23! Artists from the area will be making beautiful drawings made all out of chalk. Go with your family and help judge for the best artwork. Spend the day on 5th looking at the drawings, listening to live music, eating delicious food, and taking advantage of the great shopping 5th Avenue has.

After Hours at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary Returns!

The popular after hours program is coming back to Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary this Friday, January 22 from 5:30pm-9pm. This event is themed "Full Moon of the Wolf: Traditional Seminole Legends and Art." This event spotlights the culture, history, and artwork of Seminole and Southeastern native people. There will be two members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Zedro and Brian Zepeda, who will be demonstrating arts and crafts in the nature center and will also lead a presentation. 
Other things to do at the after hours event include guided and individual walks on the boardwalk, interpretive exhibits, listen to live music, stargazing with astronomers, and more. 
There is no extra fees other than admission which is $14, but that is good for two days so you can go back to the Sanctuary and experience it during the day.

What's Happening this weekend January 15-17

Southwest Florida Nature Festival is happening at Rookery Bay. This festival is to celebrate the nature around us. Explore local environment through special field trips around SWFL. On January 16, there will be speakers at Rookery Bay talking about various related topics. Nature fest lectures are included in the price of admission.


Also on the 15-17 at the Golden Gate Community Center there will be the 'Ziggy Dick's Rotary Festival. This festival will have a kid's corner with games and activities, a beer garden, live entertainment, and more! There will also be a midway area with rides and tons of good BBQ. This festival helps raise funds for children in the area so come on out to support a good cause.

Pet's on Third is a celebration of all pets big and small! This event will be on Third Street South from 10am until 2pm. There will be specialty vendors with items to buy for your furry friend along with a special pet costume contest with various prizes for the winners. Remember to stay around from 1pm to 2pm to see the parade of all the animals in their finest costumes. This event is only 6 miles away from the Hilton Naples!

Kids FREE Weekend THIS WEEKEND at the Naples Zoo

Looking for something fun and educational to do with your family this long weekend? The Naples Zoo is getting kids in free this weekend from January 15-January 18! For every paying adult, a child can get in free with a printable coupon found here. A full fun-filled day can be made here by the different shows, meet and greets with zoo keepers, feeding a giraffe, a primate cruise, and seeing new exhibits including cheetahs and Red Ruffed Lemurs.

Cheetahs spotted at a new exhibit at the Naples Zoo

Four months after the beloved cheetah Ngoma passed, the Naples Zoo is opening a new exhibit with two new cheetahs! These two female cheetahs come from White Oak Conservation Center in Yulee, Florida where they have been breeding to help with the Cheetah population. They now retired at the Naples Zoo where you and your family can see these beautiful creatures!

Fine Arts & Crafts Fair is being held from 10am-4pm right in Downtown Naples at Cambier Park. There will be original artwork and crafts by locals along with paintings, jewelry, photography, and more. This is a monthly event going on until April. This event is brought by the Naples Artcrafters.

Rookery Bay
